Rahaf Safi North America 2022

Rahaf Safi recently joined the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance as a Foreign Service Officer. Previously, she was based in the Middle East working directly with refugees, displaced persons, and host communities through international and local organizations. Her work and research continue to focus on strengthening civil society and the humanitarian-development-peace nexus approach. Rahaf holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where she was a Topol Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. She is also a Harry S. Truman Scholar and received her bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and political science from Indiana University.
